Private Singing & Guitar Lessons
Declan Farrell has been teaching Singing And Guitar lessons in Dublin since founding the studio in 1995.
Declan has been involved in the world of Rock and Classical Music for the last 30 years, has won Feis Ceoil Dublin (Dermot Troy Trophy For Oratorio), Feis Maitiu Dublin, Feis Maitiu Cork (Overall Winner), Ballymena Feis, Sligo Feis, has appeared on TV (RTE 2) and Radio (Dave Fanning Sessions) and has accumulated a wealth of experience along the way. Singing Classes
My approach to Singing Tuition is based on a natural, relaxed vocal style. Students are encouraged to express themselves in a natural, free way. Aspects such as phrasing, breathing, expression are dealt with. Admission is based on an assessment, in which the potential student has an opportunity to meet myself, experience my technique and see the setup for themselves; equally I can evaluate the singer and determine whether I am in a position to help or not.
The cost of an assessment is €50; assessments are strictly by appointment. On satisfactory completion of an assessment, students can enroll for a term. The term runs from September to June, with a Summer School also during the months of July and August. Fees are 100 euro per month (4 lessons).
Alternatively, students can enrol for a 10 week term for €280. Lessons are 30 minutes long and are private.Online lessons are 45 minutes long. Please note fees are non-refundable.
Guitar Classes
I offer Guitar Tuition in the following areas:
Acoustic Guitar:
Private Tuition from beginners to advanced.
Strumming, Bass Strumming & Finger Picking Styles.
Basic Blues, Lead Guitar.
Instrumental pieces, Classical, Folk, Blues.
Basic Theory, Scales.
Electric Guitar:
Rhythm & Lead Guitar, Finger Picking, Blues.
Basic Theory, Scales.
Bass Guitar:
Introduction to Bass Guitar.
Basic Blues, Rock & Soul Pieces.
Basic Theory, Scales.
Lessons are held weekly and are 30 mins long - tuition is private. Online classes are 45 minutes long.
